Exfoliate to keep skin healthy and glowing all summer long

As much fun as it is soaking up the summer sun, dipping into the pool, or wading in the ocean, it can be a bit rough on the skin. Too much sun can cause dry, even flaky, skin which is uncomfortable and intensifies fine lines. One of the best ways to combat that and nurture your skin is to exfoliate.

Here is my weekly go-to exfoliation routine:

Dermaflash

First, the indispensable DERMAFLASH. This is an at-home dermaplaning device that removes dead skin and peach fuzz, leaving skin gently exfoliated and feeling smooth as satin. I recommend doing this once a week throughout the year. To see an in-depth tutorial using DERMAFLASH, check out this video on our Product Highlights page.

Glycolic Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask from Ren

Then, a soothing glycolic mask, like the Glycolic Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask from Ren (my personal favorite). Apply it to clean skin once a week, let it soak in for 10 minutes, and rinse. Fruit enzymes gently exfoliate the skin while reducing the look of fine lines and increasing a natural glow. Important: always apply sunscreen after using a product like this as it can make skin more sun-sensitive. It’s safe for sensitive skin.

Skin Supplement Luxury Face Oil by Glycelene

Finally, I add hydration back to my freshly exfoliated skin by applying my favorite face oil—Skin Supplement Luxury Face Oil by Glycelene. It nourishes the skin with yummy, organic ingredients without leaving an oily residue. This product can (and should) be used every day.

Mario Badescu Coconut Body Scrub and Coconut Body Butter

And let’s not forget the rest of our skin! We tend to default to facial products when talking about skincare, but the body needs regular exfoliation too. I recommend using Mario Badescu Coconut Body Scrub 1-2 times a week followed by the Coconut Body Butter. This combo will have your whole body feeling sleek, smooth, and hydrated all summer long.

Please Remember: Use sunscreen daily and apply it often when you are outside enjoying life in the sunshine.
